Karanja Ng’endo stands as a versatile Kenyan filmmaker, proficient in Directing, Writing, Cinematography, and Producing. His narrative flair is deeply rooted in the richness and authenticity of African culture and heritage, adeptly capturing the essence of his audience's hearts and emotions.

Founding The Purple Mango Pictures, a production house dedicated to celebrating and crafting African digital content, Karanja has spearheaded projects like the TV shows "Mom Vs Wife: Kenya , Wawu That’s My Dress " and award winning films such as "Unspoken." His relentless passion for storytelling propelled him through prestigious educational avenues, including the Multichoice Talent Factory Academy 2018, a film residency at Germany's Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2020, the One World Media Fellowship in 2020, the Ouaga Film Lab in 2021,  The Takmil Workshop in 2022,  and The Some Fine Day workshop in 2024.

Throughout his career, Karanja has contributed to both local and international productions, collaborating with entities such as Coke Studio Africa, Spotify, Facebook, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) International, The Flip Flopi Project (UN Environmental Department), Multichoice (DSTV), and the Africa Development Bank, among others.

Karanja's portfolio has garnered recognition at numerous international festivals, clinching multiple awards. His debut short film, "Misfit" (2019), has been screened at multiple festivals worldwide. His accolades include triumphs at events like the AMVCA, Zanzibar International Film Festival, Carthage Film Festival, Kalasha International Film Festival, and Kisima Film Festival, among others.
